    Pre-Configured Foobars!!!!

Ok, enough of you kids whined that I went ahead and configured foobar for several different cards....these 3 versions of foobar should satisfy everyone's needs. And no, I have not tested them.

    Insructions:
-download and install foobar 2k 0.8.2 from http://foobar2000.blogsite.org/

-If you use an Audigy 1 card, or something else that is 10k2 based (as most are) and uses 16bit, download http://oregonstate.edu/~moritaty/Foo...20(Audigy).rar Extract that and replace the installed foobar directory.

-If you use an Audigy 2 card (and it's variants), or something else that resamples and uses 24bit (as many do), download http://oregonstate.edu/~moritaty/Foo...0(audigy2).rar Extract that and replace the installed foobar directory.

-If you use some other card that does not resample internally, and accepts 32bit, download http://oregonstate.edu/~moritaty/Foo...resampling.rar and extract that, replacing your installed foobar directory.

This "preconfigured" version includes all of the necessary plugins, all configured for optimum sound. This also is preconfigured with the currently highest rated formatting string.

Other things you may want to do:

-restrict the database to only your music dirs (preferences > album list)

    -install foo_looks:
check out http://www.btinternet.com/~sean.m.kelly/foo_looks/, and follow the guide at http://www.btinternet.com/%7esean.m....s/install.htm. (skins are at http://www.btinternet.com/~sean.m.ke...ks/gallery.htm)

    No more whining!

I'm guessing the other thread was closed for cross-posting, so I guess I'll ask here

That's what my songs look like now

I'd like it to say Artist - Album - Title - Length (kinda like the Title Bar)

Something like that, I'm pretty simple and basic. The tags aren't messed up for that particular song, because everything is like that. When I go to the properties of the tag in foobar, everything is displayed correctly

No, ASIO achieves the same result as kernal streaming, but by using much more CPU time. The only time I've had to use ASIO is when I configured the computer at the studio I used to work at....card resampled internally to 192kHz.

    Zemo... You're the best
    I know!

the links to all the files at loodi.com on the guide are dead. can't find them on google. either
I'll fix that, but these preconfigured foobar's don't need those extra files.

Close my thread will you?! *Shakes fist violently*

well, it's doing that because of the specific formatting set that's in there right now...you COULD code your own formatting, or steal one from http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/fb2k/index.php...but then people would be whining some more....

ok, dangit, I'm gonna redo those pre-installed ones to use a new formatting set...

    Title formatting

in the interim, you can go to Preferences...Display...Title Formatting and select the Playlist tab. On the lower right side there is a button that says "reset", above the "Help" button. (Not "reset all") This will reconfig the playlist to use FB2K's default playlist, which is similar to the title formatting you referred to.

    Btw, helloz to everyone!

    Naughty direct hyperlink

Zemo, you should know better than to directlink to a file on a website. I change the filename with every version posted. Shame on yuo!

    Zemo, you're a @#$@)(%&ing genius

EDIT: Zemo, I also hate you. You finally got the midrange right, to a point that I want to throw these speakers out the window....but of course, I don't really want to spend the grand or two necessary to buy a much better system.
