Even if that's the case there can still be differences between two of the same model monitor. My two screens here at work actually have pretty different settings to make them look the same. For example, one's contrast is set to 33 and the other is at 45 in order to achieve the same visual level .

I broke down and bought a dell st2210, a 21.5" monitor. What a huge improvement over my old 17" CRT. I can play Crysis at 1920x1080. Now I've just gotta upgrade the ol video card
